RE: Building Evacuation at Loring Elementary 

Hello Loring Families, 

I’d like to inform you of an incident that occurred at our school today.

Just after 10 a.m., the school’s boiler started to malfunction.  Following our safety and security procedures, we began to evacuate students to Faith Baptist Church, approximately three blocks away. The Minneapolis Fire Department quickly arrived on scene and reported zero gas readings. An all-clear was given shortly after the initial report, and students returned to normal instruction around 10:30 a.m.
